I've not tried it, but I don't like the thought of where it comes from (the original stuff anyway, I guess the new stuff is produced another way)

Surely they dont scrape it from the big barrels that make beer still? I imagine they produce it another way but keeping the original taste

I've never heard of that before, but I'll tell you what that's still way better than what bovril is.
